About HARYANA

On 1st November, 1966, Haryana as the 17th State of India came into existence. 

Haryana State was formed on the recommendations of Sardar Hukum Singh Parliamentary Committee. Shah commission was set up under the Chairmanship of Justice J C Shah to divide and set up the boundaries of Punjab and Haryana State.

  • Union Territory of Chandigarh is shared as Capital by states of Haryana and Punjab.
  • Chandigarh was designed by Swiss born French architect, Le Corbusier.
  • High Court : Punjab and Haryana High court (Chandigarh)
Haryana has - 
  • 10 Seats of Lok Sabha which includes Ambala, Bhiwani, Faridabad, Gurugram, Hisar, Karnal, Kurukshetra, Rohtak, Sirsa, Sonipat

    • Punjab in West and 
    • Rajasthan in South
